Accreditation is necessary for all foreign media representatives wishing to cover the Finnish Presidential Election 2018 and to take part in the Election Night for media, press conferences and other media events.

Sunday January 28, 2018, Election Night
Media facilities, located in the House of Estates (in Finnish: Säätytalo) in Helsinki City Centre, are open for accredited media from 5 PM up till midnight.
The Press Room at the House of Estates will offer simultaneous interpretation into English of the televised Election night programme broadcast by Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE. In addition, there will be printers and a wireless internet connection (WLAN) available. Possibilities to use a fixed-line broadband connection in the House of Estates are limited.
Media representatives accredited to the Election will have an opportunity to visit the House of Estates already on Friday, January 26. Details will be provided later to the accredited media representatives.
Please note that you are requested to present your ID Card (passport or other travel document for EU Nationals) at the entrance of the House of Estates.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs will organise a post-election analysis and discussion event led by senior political journalist, Mr. Marko Junkkari, representing Helsingin Sanomat, the biggest Newspaper in Finland.
